Overwintered 5 Frame B.S Nuc

Overwintered 5 Frame B.S Nuc on British Standard frames, making it suitable for National or WBC hives.

With approximately 10,000 – 12,000 bees, and a mated and marked Queen. Our nucs will have a great start in the Spring after you collect them.

There will be minimum of 3 frames of brood and plenty of stores. Everything that a colony needs to thrive and expand.

We pride ourselves on the good condition of our nucs, and we believe they will not disappoint.

Our Overwintered nucs are developed the previous autumn, on new frames with fresh foundation and a nice young Queen.

They are nurtured lovingly, as they build up, are regularly checked for any signs of disease, or any temperament problems to ensure the colony is healthy and the Queen is of excellent stock.

Our colonies are checked regularly by the bee inspectors from the National Bee Unit.

We have been inspected every year for the past 4 with no issues.

Only once we are 100% happy, do we prepare them for Spring collection by our customers.

They are provided in a corex 5 frame B.S. nuc, safe and secure for travelling and is yours to keep afterwards too!

What you can expect from your nuc?

• 5 frames of bees.
• Brood. At least 3 frames will have brood in all stages.
• Stores. At least 1 frame of stores
• No signs of disease. Inspected annually for the last 4 years without incident!
• Queen. A marked and laying queen.
• Calmness. No signs of aggression, and calm on the comb.

Nucs collected will be in a green corex nuc box, unless otherwise chosen upon purchase.
